This two-week Water Safety Planning course is designed to provide participants with the essential knowledge and practical tools to design, implement, and manage effective water safety plans (WSPs). The course will cover risk-based water safety approaches, hazard analysis, water quality monitoring, regulatory compliance, and emergency response planning. Participants will explore how to integrate environmental and public health standards into water safety management systems, ensuring the continued delivery of safe drinking water. The course will combine theoretical lectures, field visits, and hands-on practice to ensure a comprehensive understanding of water safety planning.
Training will be held at Tafre Academy Training Facility, with one day of Week 2 (on June 12, 2025) held at the Water Institute of Southern Africa, Midrand.
