Course Overview
This two-week course on Modern Water Governance is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills needed to manage water resources effectively in the face of current challenges, such as climate change, urbanization, and resource scarcity. The course will focus on best practices, policies, and tools for water governance, integrating lessons from global case studies and hands-on experiences. Participants will gain practical insight into policy development, water resource management strategies, and stakeholder engagement to ensure sustainable water use and equitable access.
Training Location
- The majority of the training will take place at Tafre Academy Training Facility.
- For Week 2, from April 8-10, 2025, sessions will be held at the Water Institute of Southern Africa (WISA), Midrand, for practical, hands-on sessions and field visits.
